This is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s responsibility. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody asked Anybody
Is the burden intolerable?
Is the task impossible?
Is the grief inconsolable?
Not with the Lord.
Is the darkness impenetrable?
Is the sky unpierceable?
Is the tear undryable?
Not with the Lord.
Is the joy irrecoverable?
Is the state irreversible?
Is the case irretrievable?
Not with the Lord.

Dan 3 v 17 the God we serve is able…
Yes I thought I knew my Bible
Reading piecemeal, hit or miss
Now a part of John or Matthew
Then a bit of Genesis
Certain chapters of Isaiah
Certain psalms, the twenty-third.
First of Proverbs, twelfth of Romans
Yes, I thought I knew the Word
But I found that thorough reading
Was a different thing to do
And the way was unfamiliar
When I read my Bible through.
You who like to play at Bible
Dip and dabble here and there
Just before you kneel all weary
Yawning through a hurried prayer.
You who treat this crown of writings
As you treat no other book
Just a paragraph disjointed
Just a crude impatient look.
Try a worthier procedure
Try a broad and steady view;
You will kneel in awesome wonder
When you read the Bible through.

Let me share with you some words from John Wesley:
“As you seek to bear witness to Christ, and with God’s help:
do all the good you can,by all the means you can,
in all the ways you can,
in all the places you can,
at all other times you can,
to all the people you can,
as long as ever you can.
Until Christ returns or cause us home,
let us all press on to the end in
serving Christ, our King.
God bless you.”
OUR BABY BOY
What shall we ask for our baby boy?
Shall we ask for fame, or gain, or joy,
For the dear-bought wisdom of the schools,
Or a skilful hand in the use of tools?
Ah, nay, our wishes much higher go
Than the highest hill with its cap of snow,
And the heart’s desire must wider be
Than the utmost stretch of the boundless sea.
We ask for the blessing of God above
And an early sense of the Saviour’s love,
An early sense of his wondrous grace
And an early start to seek his face;
A soul that is cleansed by the Saviour’s blood,
A heart that is kept by the peaceof God,
Where the very God of peace may dwell,
His holy secrets of love to tell.
Feet that shall walk in the path of life
And follow the Lamb through stress or strife,
That following on through pain and loss
He may learn the worth of the Saviour’s cross;
A place in his heart for the words of truth,
And God for his guide from his early youth.
Great things we ask for our baby boy
A place in God’s universe of joy,
A home in the land where his Son supreme
And his wondrous cross are the dearest theme
Judgement and Mercy
Father God, I need your help because I keep treating people badly.
I weigh them up by their wealth.
I measure them by their means.
I evaluate them by their education.
Lord, let your mercy triumph over my poor judgement.
I assess them by their appearance.
I condemn them for their clothing.
I judge them by their job.
Lord, let your mercy triumph over my poor judgement
I appraise them by their accent.
I react to their reputation.
I presume things about their past.
Lord, let your mercy triumph over my poor judgement
I quiz them on their qualifications – ignoring their qualities.
I presume their postcode proves their potential.
I imply that IQ indicates importance.
Lord, let your mercy triumph over my poor judgement.
Lord, I fail you every day.
Teach me to be like my Father in heaven,
who shows no favouritism,
and always looks at the heart.
Amen

During each service let God speak to you,
After each service speak to one another.
