Today

We meet for worship at 11.30am and 6.30pm.

There’s a creche for babies during the morning service.

There’s a time of prayer at 6pm in the Nelson Room.

Tea and coffee are served after the evening service.

This Week

The PW will meet on Monday at 7.45pm. The speaker this month is Laura Farrell from Hope 365.

The Bright Hour is on Tuesday afternoon.

The midweek Bible Study and prayer meeting for all the congregation is on Wednesday at 7.45pm.

Eglinton PC is hosting an evening of hope, praise and reflection in support of the Northern Ireland Hospice on Friday, 6 November at 7pm. Free admission, but donations are welcome. Supper will be provided.

The next ladies outreach prayer meeting will be on Saturday, 7 November at 10am in the church. All ladies are very welcome to come along to pray and to ignite our passion to reach out to our community.

Future Dates

The service on Sunday morning, 8 November will include an act of remembrance for Remembrance Sunday.

The next meeting of the Congregational Committee is scheduled for Monday, 9 November.

The annual GB enrolment will be on Sunday, 15 November.

Rathcoole PC invites you to a service of thanksgiving on Sunday, 22 November at 3pm to mark seventy years of worship and witness in the present building. Light refreshments will be provided. To assist with catering, please let Colin know if you intend to go and he will notify the organisers.

The memory verse for November is Isaiah 40:28 and it’s about the Lord our God: ‘Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.’

The Vine Centre is having its annual Christmas Appeal to distribute food hampers and Christmas presents to families in the area. The Centre is unable to accept food donations, but will gratefully receive money so that items for the food hampers can be purchased. New gifts for children and adults may also be donated. These should be unwrapped. All gifts should be delivered to the Vine Centre by Monday, 14 December. For more information, please see the notice on the door of the minister’s room. Thank you for your interest in and support of this vital project.

Thank you to all those who carry out reception duties and play such an important role in welcoming those who attend Sunday Services. The number of people on the team has reduced for various reasons and so there is a need for other people to join. If you are interested in serving in this capacity or want to find out what the role involves, please speak to Ivan Houston.
